Reality Television
Reality television is a somewhat new form of television programming that is becoming more and more popular. These shows take a group of usually young people and put the in different situations in order to get a reaction. Shows that would fall into this category are those such as Jersey Shore and The Real World. These shows just show how stupid America is becoming, anything will entertain people. People may say "it's a good show because it's real and the reactions are funny". Well why don't you go out and have some fun instead of watching someone else do it.

These shows have a two-fold effect: they satisfy voyeurism and make people feel better about themselves, but they also offer ideas about how a younger audience may want to be when they grow up, and that might not be the best role model situation.
